Saturday, you'll drive to Hartford to do some whitewater rafting on the Upper Pigeon. This dam-controlled river will provide fast paced excitement all summer long. With Class III and Class IV rapids, this whitewater rafting trip is sure to be an adventure!

Itinerary:

Friday: Country Tonite Show - If you want to see a star, come to the Country Tonite Theatre where the stage is full of them! The show begins at 8:00 pm. Pick up is not included, so you will be responsible for providing your own transportation to the theatre - approximately 15 miles from Douglas Lake. Please allow appropriate travel time. Voted "Best Show in the Smokies" and "Best Live Country Show in America" three years in a row by the CMAA, Country Tonite explodes with the best vocals, dance, comedy and excitement of any show in America! It has the perfect combination of new and old country classics that provides nonstop entertainment. Enjoy a night of family entertainment - singing, dancing, comedy, gospel, patriotic and more fill this two-hour high energy variety show. You'll discover why Country Tonite is the hottest ticket in town!

Saturday: Whitewater Rafting near Pigeon Forge - Get ready for some excitement on this whitewater adventure! You can take this two-hour guided raft ride at 11:15 am or at 3:15 pm; you must designate your preferred time on the order form. Pick up is not included, so you will be responsible for providing your own transportation to the rafting departure point - approximately 35 miles from Douglas Lake. Please allow an appropriate amount of travel time. Your whitewater trip includes Class III and Class IV rapids on the Upper Pigeon River. This portion of the river is ideal for novices, families, and youth groups. The Pigeon is dam-controlled, providing action-packed fun throughout the summer. The Upper Pigeon carves a gorge through the Great Smoky Mountains and you'll be immediately confronted with fast moving waters and standing waves! This five mile whitewater run will take you through the rapids known as Powerhouse, Big Rock, Roller Coaster, Lost Guide, and Chubbie Checker. You'll love this incredible whitewater adventure! Please Note: You must be at least 8 years of age and at least 70 lbs to take this rafting trip.

Great Smoky Mountains Douglas Lake Standard Cabin - Enjoy a two night stay in a cozy cabin in Sevierville during your Great Smoky Mountains Vacation! You'll be in two bed, two bath cabin at beautiful Douglas Lake. These are modern cabins with fantastic lake and scenic views of the Smoky Mountains, convenient to both Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and offering a multitude of recreational activities. This cabin has a spacious and comfortable living room, two bedrooms, two baths, kitchen, dining area - and a hot tub! All cabins come equipped with telephone, color television, alarm clock radio, two rocking chairs, and a covered wrap-around porch with gas grill. Resort amenities include a swimming pool and playground. Take a relaxing walk on the meandering nature trail that winds through the woods, over the covered bridge, and along the shore. Activities in the area include: antiquing, bird watching, boating, canoeing, fishing, golf, horseback riding, hunting, mountain/back country biking, mountain climbing/hiking, museums & historic sites, national park, nature trails, picnicking, Pigeon Forge shows and attractions, playgrounds, rock climbing, scenery/natural wonders, shopping, and swimming.
